- I am a Christian. Born and raised in Savannah, GA. My wife and I have been married for 39 years. We have two wonderful and successful sons, one beautiful daughter-in-law, and one extra beautiful grand daughter. I am a Vietnam Veteran having served aboard the USS Richard E. Kraus (DD-849) for two years. I retired from the Army Corps of Engineers in September 2006 after 35 years federal service. My father's family is originally from a town called Yelling in Huntingtonshire county England, and after coming to America, they settled in Emanuel County Georgia near Swainsboro. They lived in a small community called Blundale, my paternal grandfather ran the store, my maternal grandfather ran the filling station. They also farmed the surrounding areas.
